New Study Beginning in January

This virtual therapeutic book study is based on Parents Have Feelings, Too by Hilary Jacobs Hendel, LCSW and Juli Fraga, PsyD. From January through April, we will move through the book together, focusing on the core emotions that shape parenting, emotional awareness, and connection.

We will focus on understanding emotional wiring and exploring anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, sadness, joy, and boundaries as they show up in real parenting moments. You can expect thoughtful discussion, reflection, and practical integration that supports steadier, more authentic parenting over time.

What Are Therapeutic Book Studies?

Therapeutic Book Studies blend the insight of therapy with the reflection of reading. These small, guided groups invite participants to explore books that spark emotional growth, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful transformation—together.

Led by a licensed therapist, each session offers structure, support, and conversation that brings the material to life. You’ll gain tools you can immediately apply to your relationships, mindset, and daily life, all while connecting with a community of like-minded learners.

Through thoughtful discussion and guided reflection, participants learn to:

  • Recognize patterns that keep them stuck or disconnected

  • Strengthen emotional intelligence and communication skills

  • Approach relationships and personal growth with more awareness and compassion

  • Integrate therapeutic tools into everyday challenges

  • Build confidence in navigating life with intention and self-trust

Each study is designed to help you grow through what you go through—one insight at a time.

How It Works

Each book study meets weekly in a small group setting via live Zoom for a set number of weeks. Each series centers around one thoughtfully chosen book, with a defined schedule that outlines which sections or chapters will be covered each week. Groups are intentionally formed to bring together people in similar seasons of life or with shared experiences, creating space for meaningful connection and understanding.

Sessions are structured around guided discussion, reflective prompts, and shared exploration of how the material connects to real life experiences and relationships. Moving through the book together allows for insight to deepen over time, supported by the presence of others who are navigating similar questions or transitions.

This is a space to slow down, reflect openly, and build understanding that feels practical and sustainable. Each group is led by Ivona Bhadha, LCSW, and designed to support emotional awareness, personal growth, and deeper connection.
